Private Practice of Addiction Medicine

Daniel J. Zimmerman, MD  and Larry Pettis, MD provide addiction treatment services.  Although each practice is independent, they work closely together, and provide off-hours "coverage" for one another; for this reason,  each physician has access to the other's medical records.

Drs. Zimmerman and Pettis collaborate in staff supervision,  developing addiction treatment programs, and other aspects of care delivery.  Current addiction treatment services provided by the doctors include:

• Detoxification from opioids (narcotics) such as OxyContin (R), Percocet (R),  Roxicodone (R),  or heroin.
• Medically assisted treatment for opiate addiction using buprenorphine (Suboxone (R)).
• Detoxification from sedatives in an outpatient setting when medically appropriate
• Detoxification from alcohol in an outpatient setting when medically appropriate
• Pain management for patients who have a history of addiction and require closer monitoring.
• Therapy groups

New patients can usually be seen with 48 hours of first telephone contact.
