Addiction Medicine Evaluation and Consulting Services

Stephen Colameco, M.D. M.Ed., F.A.S.A.M.

Dr. Stephen Colameco has been certified in the field of addiction since 1987.  He is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine-- a title bestowed upon physicians who have made significant contributions to the society and the specialty; in 2006, there were 219 Fellows of the Society.  Dr. Colameco has served as an addiction treatment program medical director and addiction consultant to psychiatric treatment programs.  He has lectured by invitation at addiction and primary care conferences.  Dr. Colameco is a founding member of the International Society for Pain and Chemical Dependency and a member of the national faculty of the Core Content Review of Family Practice He has published in peer reviewed journals and has been recognized as an addiction specialist in NJ courts.  At present, Dr. Colameco limits his professional activities to providing consulting and educational services. These include:

• Treatment Planning

• Expert Medical Evaluations

• Educational Programs for Professional and Community Groups

• Technical Assistance for Grant Application Preparation and Program Evaluation
