Professional Fees for Office Visits*
Our physicians try maintain fees at an affordable level while providing a high level of service. At the time this web site is being updated, the fee for "induction" onto Suboxone (R) therapy was $250.00--the same fee Dr. Colameco charged in 2004--1/2 what some newly Suboxone-certified primary care physicians charge. Our associates do not charge "extra" for attending on-site Suboxone (R) group counseling sessions!
Some insurance plans recognizing addiction specialists as part of their behavioral healthcare networks. Please check with our staff regarding insurance coverage. We do provide receipts that can be submitted for insurance reimbursement. Since insurance companies are increasingly recognizing board-certified addiction specialists, please check with us regarding your specific plan.
Patients are encouraged to compare fees, services, and qualifications with Suboxone prescribers. Patients should recognize that medical practice is highly regulated and that all practices have high office "overhead" expenses such as insurance, rent, licenses, certifications, professional dues, continuing education, hospital staff fees, and utilities. We spend a great deal of time speaking with patients and families on the telephone- without charge.
Discuss payment in advance. Credit card or cash deposits are required for new patients scheduling detoxification** or beginning buprenorphine (Suboxone) treatment. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover Cards. We do not routinely accept personal checks. Patients are charged for missed appointments. Same day cancellation fees may apply.
